Why equal-length headers?
Equal length primary pipes ensure equal airflow and exhaust backpressure between each of the 3x cylinder heads and an exhaust collector, allowing those cylinders to operate with equivalent loads vs. using headers with different length primaries. The engine is then working in a more balanced manner, all cylinders equally.
Equal length secondary pipes between the collectors and the turbocharger continue this, ensuring even engine loads bank-to-bank, left (1-3) vs. right (4-6).
Plus, when all the loads are balanced, you can hear it in the exhaust tone: the engine has a fantastic smooth “tuned” sound.

History:
Equal-length headers aren’t a new idea. The factory's early long-tube non-turbo headers had equal length primary pipes, as did the headers on many of their competition cars, ex: SC/RS, 956/962, some of the 993GT2 variants, etc.
Note: also available in larger or smaller tubing sizes upon request – for larger or smaller displacement engines, motorsport applications, etc.
